Continuing Education: NCRA and JBCC are pending approval (anticipated 1.4 CEUs / 14 hours).

  • Certified Court Reporters Returning to School: If you are a certified court reporter returning to school to learn an alternative method, you cannot register as a student.  CEUs will not be granted to students.
  • Seminar Attendance Requirement: To earn CEUs and CE hours, you must be physically present for each seminar.  Substitutions are not allowed; NCRA and state accreditation committees strictly prohibit another person from attending on your behalf to earn credits.
  • Certificate and CEU Submission: After the conference, a certificate of completion will be emailed to you, and your CEUs will be submitted to the National Court Reporting Association (NCRA) on your behalf. Please allow adequate time for the association to process and record your credits.
  • Once your certificate is sent, you will have 10 days to review the information and request any corrections. If no changes are requested within that period, we will submit your attendance to NCRA (if applicable). If everything is accurate, the certificate you initially receive will serve as the final version for your attendance records.
  • If you request a change after the 10 days, a $75 fee will be charged for the issuance of a new certificate after the deadline.

Any certificates submitted without the Steno in the City Founder’s signature will not be accepted. Your punch card must be submitted in person. Please be sure to turn your punchcard in before leaving the conference

You must be registered, have paid in full, and attend an entire seminar session to receive CEU credit for any session.  The named individual who is registered and is requesting the CEU credit must him or herself attend each session in its entirety to be given credit for said session.  Our session monitors will keep track of the attendees who have attended each session to ensure credit is awarded appropriately and in accordance with NCRA and JBCC rules.

A steno-spouse is an individual whose employment and or business is not directly tied to the steno community.  This person is not a freelance and/or official court reporter, not a videographer, not a scopist or proofreader or one whose business is tied to the court reporting profession aside from being a spouse to someone who is.

A steno-spouse may want to attend a SITC conference so that they can have a better understanding about the court reporting and captioning profession their spouse works in because one may have a personal interest in steno and what it entails and/or to be a supportive and encouraging partner.  You must email info@stenointhecity.com to verify and register your non-steno spouse.

SITC does not offer a prorated charge to individuals who cannot attend any day or days of the conference as the host hotel does not prorate its charge to SITC for our attendees who may or may not attend on any particular day or days. Steno in the City does offer payment installments for conference registration.

A decision regarding virtual attendance will be made by March 2026. Please note that if you register for the in-person conference before March and later opt to attend virtually, refunds will not be issued.
